Personal Projects: Dreaming of Norway

Something I ended up spontaneously is this little side project I did tonight: an illustration inspired by the polar lights in Norway – a destination I dream of going and with a bit of lucky might go this winter. I also used the girl siluette I recently worked on for the first assignmen in my sketchbook, and added a male figure as travel companion. I kept the background scenery plain and used simple patterns to create the sky and ground. Patterns are something I like to use, especially in the combination with bold colours.
